Club History

Jim founded the club just after the war. He and some friends "acquired" some ex-RAF 16mm equipment. Film stock was hard to come by in those days and the cost of shooting ensured every scene was rehearsed and kept as short as possible.

Some early members had been using 9.5mm before the war and showed off some of their films from that era at a Town Hall meeting.  That resulted in lots of interest and before long the club grew rapidly.

This page is an example of a link from the name "Jim Smith" to his portrait on the Member Profiles section of this website. This link and the matching anchor at the other end both use Weebly's Custom html element. The whole website is an example used for tutorials which you can find on www.theiac.org.uk - the club does not exist!
